Best Style of Service for Your Event

A big factor in planning your event is FOOD. There’s nothing worse than being a hungry guest at an event or expecting a meal and only getting an hors d’oeuvre. It’s important to think about what you will serve and what style of service will work best for your event. That is why we compiled our styles of service and explained when each style should be used. We hope you enjoy!

Plated Meals:
The plated style of service is our most common style of service when it comes to weddings and formal events. The meals will be plated live in our back of house area by our kitchen staff and then our servers will serve you and your guests synchronized. (A great element of surprise for your guests) Many are shocked to learn that the plated style of service is the most cost-effective style. The reason for that is, our kitchen staff can control the portions and there are fewer food options. To view our plated packages, click the options, plated dinner, plated lunch, plated breakfast and plated wedding.

Buffets:
Buffet style of service is a great choice for those who want a more casual dining experience, and aren’t trying to stick to a strict timeline. Buffets typically take longer because each guest at each table has to get up and go through the buffet. Buffets are usually set up in the event space and our servers will put each food item on your guests’ plate. This allows your guests to pick and choose what they want to eat, but they don't have to serve themselves. Interested in having a buffet? Take a look at our buffet dinner, buffet lunch, buffet breakfast and buffet wedding packages.

Stations:
Stations are a fun style of service that gets your guests up and moving. Typically we will do 2-3 stations with each station being different. At a station, your guests will choose what they want to eat and our Chef will make it live in front of them. Your guests will love this interactive experience. Stations work well for themed events or events that want a “fun” element to it. Take a look at our Stations Menu!

Hors D’oeuvres only:
Hors D’oeuvre only events are best for events that are about 2-3 hours long and guests won’t be expecting to eat a full meal. Think about the time of your event, if you want an event at dinner time then your guests are going to expect dinner. Hors D’oeuvre only events are a cocktail, mingling feel. There are two different types of hor d’oeuvre only events: Displayed or Butler Passed. If you choose displayed, the hors d’oeuvres will be presented on a table for your guests to come up and grab themselves. If you choose butler passed, then that means servers will walk around with hors d’oeuvres on a tray offering them to guests. We have tons of hors d'oeuvres to choose from, click here to view them!
Style of service matters when it comes to planning an event. Our Catering Sales Team will be happy to talk over what style suits your event the best! Have questions? Give us a call 317-924-3389 or inquire online.
